Dave: What was the key factor in you deciding to play in Germany?
J.F. The NHL strike, and also it was a great opportunity to visit Europe
Dave: There are so many former North American players in Germany this season. Have you ran into any ex teammates?
J.F. So far, Pronger, Davidson, Wwalser, Fortier, and Bannister
Dave: How do you feel about the German fans? How do they compare to US fans?
J.F. German fans are great, very loud and a lot of singing. There is a more festive atmosphere at the games.

Dave: I have always wanted to ask you about your equipment. You have worn so many different and colorful masks over the years. Do you keep them all, or are they painted over each time?
J.F. I have kept a few masks, but have had most painted over.
Dave: If you could have any one of your old Crunch teammates join you to to play with this season, who would it be and why?
J.F. Matt Darche. A good friend and great player.
Dave:
Who were your closest friends on that Crunch team? Do you still keep in touch with any of them?J.F. Matt Darche and Greg Gardner. I talk to both of them still.
Dave: Speaking of the Crunch, It seemed when you played for the Crunch that you were more comfortable when your opponent had a lot of shots on goal during a game. Do you feel you are sharper having to frequently make saves or when it is a little quieter for you in net?
J.F. Both are great, nice to have a lot of shots and nice to have a quiet night once in awhile
Dave: On a more personal note, how are you and Kathy enjoying parenthood? How are the girls?
J.F. We are enjoying parenthood, the girls are great and growing really fast, keeping me busier than ever.
Dave: Do you feel your priorities have changed since the birth of the twins?
J.F. Yes, I have no time to myself, all I have time for when I'm home is them, they keep us really busy, but they come before anything and everything.
