I interviewed Trevor Doyle on February 20th, just before the game against
the Cincinnati Mighty Ducks.

Tell us something about your last season. After your first shift in your
first training-camp game you broke your hand in a fight against
Rocky Thompson, what happened to you after that?

- I went to play for HIFK, in Helsinki, Finland, and I played three
regular season games for them, and two games in
European Hockey League. And I was in a try-out contract with
them. As I didn't have contract to play, my agent found
me a place to play in Germany, I played for the Berlin Capitals
until March 9th, when their season ended. After that I did
some traveling - around Germany, and I came back to
North-America and I finished my season with Kalamazoo
in IHL.
How did you get your deal with Syracuse Crunch? - They contacted my agent last summer, we negotiated with them about two weeks, and then I got signed and went to t he (training) camp in Vancouver.

Were there any other offers? - There were some yeah, but this was the best and Syracuse is very near to my home, which is Ottawa, it´s only about two-and-a-half-hours from Syracuse, so I like to be here.
Is NHL your goal? - Well, I think it's everybody's goal, but I'm getting older now and it's a long-shot for me, but I thought I had a good training-camp, and you never know what happens.
The Crunch had a 7-game winning streak, what was the reason for such a great success? - I think we had everyone playing their best, I think our team has done well in the last two months. In our streak we played against some teams who were a bit short-handed, injuries and stuff, and we - had three solid lines, so everything clicked.
What memories you have of Helsinki, Finland? - I enjoyed myself there, I was there for Christmas and new year. It was my first time in Europe, and I think it was a good experience.
Who´s the toughest guy you have fought against? - I think Paul Laus of Florida Panthers is one of the toughest, he's very strong. And Mike Brown...
Have you always been an enforcer? - Since junior, yeah. I got more ice-time when I was fighting, but there are stretches when I don't fight at all, I just play. But sometimes I have to do my job as an enforcer.
How come you, the hockey players, get all the good-looking chicks? - Do we? I don't think those girls are thinking properly, must be of alcohol. Hahahah...
Your athletic trainer says that you are a bad singer, is that true? - He has a very bad ear. That's not true at all. I´m a good singer. I sing whatever is going on (in the radio).
